Panel Specifications

Minimum panel width: 8"
Maximum single panel width: 30"
Maximum width of bifold panels is 40"
Maximum panel length: 112"

For Richwood® Shutter-Lites, each panel configuration and hinge pattern has different maximum and minimum measurements. Elite has also included a "maximum square footage" size with each configuration diagram. Because large shutters carry a great deal of weight, there are limitations to how large the panels can be. The weight, after all, effects the functionality of the hinges and tracks. When ordering larger panels or multiple panel configurations, be sure to calculate the total square footage and compare it to the maximum square footage listed alongside the panel configuration diagram.

Hinge Requirements

Depending on length, Richwood® Shutter-Lite panels must have the prescribed number of hinges per side to support the weight of the shutter panels.

30" and under: 2 hinges
30" to 58": 3 hinges
58" to 86": 4 hinges
86" to 112": 5 hinges

The standard hinge is a non-mortised hinge painted white or antique white to match the colour of the shutter panels and frame.
